What is the Claude and ChatGPT connector for in an agency?

A lot of agency work is repetitive: opening a project for a new client, laying out the steps, creating a batch of tasks, entering the month’s numbers. An assistant can do all of it, as long as it’s plugged into your tool.

The server exposes 24 tools. You can ask your assistant to:

• create projects, steps and tasks, then edit them;
• add entries to the content calendar;
• read the messages in a project’s discussion;
• push numbers into Reporting (clicks, sessions, followers, whatever the source);
• list your projects and their members so you can assign a task.

How do you connect Claude or ChatGPT to XTablo, step by step?

In XTablo, create an API key in Settings > API keys. The MCP server address is https://v2.xtablo.com/mcp. Then follow the guide on the AI connector page.

In Claude or ChatGPT, add a custom connector by pasting the server address and your key. Once connected, the XTablo tools appear in your assistant.

Start with a simple request: “List my projects.” Then move on to actions: create a task, push a number. A key can be read-only: if a tool is refused, it tells you which permission it needs.

What does your client see in their portal?

They don’t know you used an assistant. They see the result in their portal with your logo: updated steps, tasks, Reporting numbers, content calendar entries. You choose what’s visible project by project. See the client portal.

What are the limits?

• Deleting a step or a task is permanent: ask for confirmation first. A deleted project goes to the archive and can be recovered for 30 days.
• The assistant does what you ask: review what it creates, especially before you share it with a client.
• No posting to social networks: the content calendar plans and gets approvals, it doesn’t publish.
• Not an official integration: XTablo is compatible with Claude and ChatGPT through the MCP protocol, with no partnership with Anthropic or OpenAI.
