The short answer
To put a Loom video in a client portal, or a YouTube or Vimeo one, paste its link into the Embedded tools app of an XTablo project: the video preview shows up in the client portal. It works well for a tutorial, a status update or an edit to approve. Approval happens in XTablo. XTablo is compatible with these platforms through the link, with no sync.

What are Loom, YouTube or Vimeo good for with XTablo?
A video is often worth ten paragraphs: a Loom to explain a decision, a tutorial on how to use a delivered site, a cut to review. The problem is giving it one place to live: links lost in emails, private videos nobody can find.
XTablo places the video in the client’s project, next to the steps and the discussion. You produce your video wherever you like, and you show it in the right place.
How do you show a video in the client portal, step by step?
The move is the same for Loom, YouTube and Vimeo.
- Publish or record your video, then set its visibility so your client can watch it.
- Copy the video link.
- In XTablo, open the client’s project.
- Open the Embedded tools app and paste the link.
- The video preview appears in the project and loads on click.
- Let your client know: they’ll find it in their portal.
How do you get a video edit approved by a client?
Your client watches the video in their portal, leaves feedback in the discussion or as a comment, then approves the deliverable in one click (deliverable approval). You keep a record of the feedback and the approval in XTablo.
If you want frame-accurate feedback, keep the tool of your choice alongside, and use XTablo to log the final decision. For a heavy file, upload it to the project files.
What does your client see?
A workspace under your logo, opened from a link with no account to create (the client portal). They see the video in the projects you choose to show them, along with the rest of their progress. They can install the portal on their phone from the browser.
Which teams is it useful for?
Video editing agencies that deliver cuts, web design agencies that ship sites with a Loom walkthrough, social media agencies and coaches who share replays and recaps.
What are the limits?
The link is the only thread between XTablo and the video platform.
- Preview only: no sync, no editing from XTablo.
- Loads on click: the video plays when someone opens it.
- Visibility is set on the platform: a private video won’t display for your client.
- No frame-accurate feedback in XTablo: you comment and approve, that’s it.
How to get started
- 1Record or publish your video.
- 2Set its visibility for your client.
- 3Copy the link.
- 4Open the project in XTablo, Embedded tools app.
- 5Paste the link and check the preview.
- 6Your client watches, comments and approves.

FAQ
Is this an official Loom, YouTube or Vimeo integration?
No. XTablo is compatible with these platforms through share links: you paste a link and the preview shows up. XTablo is not a partner of any of them.
Where does my client approve the edit?
In XTablo: they comment and approve the deliverable in their portal.
Can I host the video in XTablo?
For a video preview, you paste a link. A file can also be uploaded to the project files.
Does my client need a Loom account?
No XTablo account is needed. For the video itself, what matters is the visibility setting of the link.
How much does it cost?
