The short answer
XTablo is compatible with Google Analytics 4: a site’s sessions land in the Reporting tab of the project, which your client views in their portal. Honest status: the direct connection is built, pending Google verification, and open to tester agencies first. Today you export a CSV from GA4 and import it into Reporting, or push the numbers through Claude (MCP).

What is Google Analytics for in an agency client report?
GA4 holds the numbers your client wants to see: visits, sources, pages. But giving them access to GA4 is usually a bad idea: the interface is dense and they don’t know what to look at. So you end up rebuilding a report by email every month.
With XTablo, you put the right numbers in the project’s Reporting tab, in the same place as the progress of your engagement. Your client reads traffic with your explanation, in a portal with your logo. You can also use the free client status report to structure your message.
Is the direct Google Analytics connection available yet?
Not for everyone yet. The direct connection is built: the project’s Reporting will receive sessions every 6 hours. It is pending Google verification and open to tester agencies first. We are not giving a date.
To test it early, ask support for early access. Otherwise, use one of the two methods that work today.
How do you connect GA4 to XTablo today, step by step?
Method 1, the CSV export: in Google Analytics 4, export the report you want (sessions per day, for example) as a CSV. In XTablo, open the client’s project, go to “Reporting” and import the file.
Method 2, through Claude: with the AI connector, ask Claude or ChatGPT to push numbers into the project’s Reporting. You give it the export or the values and it enters them. Create an API key in Settings > API keys, then add the MCP server address https://v2.xtablo.com/mcp. See the AI connector page and the MCP page.
XTablo’s public API (v1, with a key) also lets your technical team feed Reporting with any number, GA4 included.
What does your client see in their portal?
They open their link, with no account to create, and find the project’s Reporting in a portal with your logo and your colors. You choose project by project what’s visible. They never see anything internal.
Next to the numbers, they see the steps, the deliverables and the discussion. Traffic stops being an isolated number: it’s tied to what you did. See the client portal.
Which agencies get the most out of the Google Analytics integration?
Web design agencies track a site launch, SEO agencies tie traffic to the actions they took, and social media agencies show what their campaigns send to the client’s site.
What are the limits?
- The direct connection isn’t open to everyone: CSV import or Claude stays manual in the meantime.
- XTablo is not an analytics tool: it displays numbers, it doesn’t replace GA4 for exploring data.
- You choose the numbers: a client won’t see every GA4 metric, only what you put in Reporting.
- This is not an official Google integration: XTablo is compatible with GA4 and uses the public API.
How to get started
- 1Open the client’s project, “Reporting” tab.
- 2In GA4, export the report you want as a CSV (period and metrics of your choice).
- 3Import the CSV into the project’s Reporting.
- 4Alternative: ask Claude to push the numbers through the XTablo AI connector.
- 5Add a short explanation under the numbers.
- 6Check what the client sees, then share their portal.

Can I connect GA4 automatically today?
Not for everyone: the direct connection is open to tester agencies first. Today, use CSV import or Claude (MCP). No date has been announced.
How much does it cost?
No extra charge for the integration. XTablo is €49/month (about $55) for Freelance, €79/month (about $89) for Agency or €199/month (about $224) for Business, excl. taxes, no commitment, 7-day trial (card required). Clients are free. See pricing.
