The new homepage looks great. Can we make the banner bigger?
Sure, testing a bigger headline and a darker background.
The short answer
For a Google Drive client portal, paste the link of a Google Doc, Sheet or Slides into the Embedded tools app of an XTablo project: the preview shows up in the client portal. Your client reads it, then comments and approves in XTablo. On top of that, the AI agent (beta) can read Google Drive and Google Sheets, and only writes after a team member approves.

What is Google Drive + XTablo good for at an agency?
Drive is often the agency’s vault: briefs, schedules, tracking sheets, presentations. But giving a client access to a whole folder is risky, and sending them ten links by email is just as messy.
XTablo puts the right documents in the right project. The client finds what you choose to show them, in a single space under your logo. You can also read our dedicated page on the Google Drive client portal.
How do you show a Google Doc, Sheet or Slides in a client portal?
The principle is the same for all three document types.
- In Google, set the document’s sharing so your client can view the link.
- Copy the link of the Google Doc, Sheets or Slides.
- In XTablo, open the relevant project.
- Open the Embedded tools app and paste the link.
- The preview appears in the project and loads on click.
- For another file type (PDF, image, video), upload it to the project files instead.
How do you get a Google document approved by a client?
The client reads the preview in their portal, comments, then approves in one click. The approval is kept in XTablo (deliverable approval), not in the Google document’s comments. Conversations stay in the project discussion.
Can the AI agent read my Google Drive?
Yes, in beta. XTablo’s AI agent can read Google Drive and Google Sheets to help you, for example to find a piece of information in a document. It only writes after a member of your team approves.
This reading is for the agent, on the Studio side. It doesn’t open your Drive to your clients: they only see what you paste into a project.
What does your client see, and who is it for?
Your client opens a link and lands in a space under your name, with no account to create. They see the previews of the documents you chose to display, project by project.
It’s useful for content agencies (briefs, copy), SEO agencies (tracking sheets, content plans) and coaches (materials and action plans).
What are the limits?
Again, everything relies on the link.
- Preview only: no sync, no editing from XTablo.
- Docs, Sheets and Slides are meant for the preview. Other files go into the project directly.
- Permissions stay in Google: a link that isn’t viewable won’t display.
- AI agent in beta: read-only, with writes after a member approves.
How to get started
- 1Set the document’s sharing in Google.
- 2Copy the Doc, Sheet or Slides link.
- 3Open the project in XTablo.
- 4Open the Embedded tools app and paste the link.
- 5Check the preview.
- 6Your client reads it, comments and approves in their portal.

FAQ
Is this an official Google integration?

Does my client see my whole Drive?
No. They only see the links you paste into a project and choose to show them.
Can I edit the document from XTablo?
No, the preview is read-only. You edit the document in Google.
Does the AI agent write to my Drive?
The AI agent (beta) reads Drive and Sheets. It only writes after a member of your team approves.
