Your clients’ Instagram numbers, no more screenshots.

Followers, reach, views, engagement: your client sees them in their portal, next to the content calendar they approve.

The short answer

XTablo is compatible with Instagram for stats: followers, reach, views and engagement can flow into the Reporting tab of the project. Honest status: the direct connection is built and is pending Meta review. Today you import a CSV or push the numbers through Claude (MCP). XTablo does not post to Instagram: it’s for planning, approval and tracking results.

What is Instagram for in an agency workflow with XTablo?

A social media agency spends its time on two things: getting posts approved, then proving they worked. XTablo covers both sides. The content calendar is for planning and approval (see also the content calendar for clients and the social media approval tool). Reporting shows the results.

Your client approves their posts, then finds the month’s numbers in the same portal, instead of getting screenshots in a message.

Is the direct Instagram connection available yet?

Not yet. The direct connection is built: followers, reach, views and engagement would flow into Reporting. It is pending Meta review and we are not giving a date. Until Meta approves it, don’t count on it for a client.

The good news: you can already offer clean Instagram reporting with one of the two methods below.

How do you track Instagram in XTablo today, step by step?

Method 1, the CSV import: export the account’s stats from Instagram’s insights tools or from your scheduling tool, as a CSV if the export is available. In XTablo, open the client’s project, go to “Reporting” and import the file.

Method 2, through Claude: with the AI connector, ask Claude or ChatGPT to push the numbers into the project’s Reporting. You give it the values and it enters them. Create an API key in Settings > API keys, then add the MCP server address https://v2.xtablo.com/mcp. See the AI connector page.

For publishing, keep your usual scheduling tool. XTablo does not post to social networks.

What does your client see in their portal?

They open their link, with no account to create, in a portal with your logo. They see the content calendar, comment on and approve posts in one click, then check Reporting. On their phone, they install the portal like an app from the browser, with no App Store involved.

You choose what’s visible project by project. See the client portal.

Which agencies get the most out of the Instagram integration?

It’s aimed mostly at social media agencies, but also content agencies, video editing agencies that deliver short-form clips, and coaches whose online presence depends on their Instagram account.

What are the limits?

  • The direct connection isn’t open yet: pending Meta review, no date announced.
  • XTablo does not post to Instagram: publishing stays in your scheduling tool.
  • Manual import for now: CSV or Claude, each period.
  • This is not an official Meta integration: XTablo is compatible with Instagram and plans to rely on Meta’s public API.

How to get started

  1. 1Create a project for the client and plan their posts in the content calendar.
  2. 2Share the calendar: the client comments and approves.
  3. 3Schedule the approved posts in your usual tool.
  4. 4At month end, grab the account stats (CSV export if available).
  5. 5Import them into the project’s “Reporting” tab, or ask Claude to push them.
  6. 6Add a note that explains the numbers and share the portal with the client.
